Return Policies

The Navarro Book Store reserves the right and has the responsibility to refuse any refund where there has been an abuse of these policies. All refunds are handled at the discretion of the Navarro College Book Store management.

  • Receipt required.
  • Refunds for purchases made with cash or check are paid in the method they were purchased.
  • Refunds for purchases made with a credit card/debit card will be made back to the card used for the purchase.
  • All refunds must be made within time limit.
    • Fall & Spring full semester courses within 10 days from the first day of classes.
    • Fall & Spring half semester courses (8-week courses) refunded for 5 days after start date of class.
    • Summer full semester courses (8-week courses) refunded for 5 days after start date of class.
    • All short sessions (less than 8-week courses) refunded for 5 days after start date of class.
  • Course packets, calculators, and study guides are nonrefundable.
  • Textbooks must be in purchased condition for a full refund. There will be no refunds for packaged texts if the shrink-wrap package or seal on box is broken, damaged, or items are missing.
  • Defective books/disks are replaced or refunded at the discretion of University Book Store management.
  • Shipping charges are not refunded on returns. Exchanges are subject to new shipping charges.

  • Refunds for purchases made with cash, check, or debit card are refunded in the same method as the purchase.
  • Refunds for purchases made with a credit card are credited to the same card.
  • General Books & Merchandise may be returned within 15 days if in new condition. Excludes Textbooks.
  • After 15 days, refunds will be given for defective merchandise at the store's discretion.
  • Special orders must have prior approval for return.
  • No refunds allowed on general books with software if the disk sleeve has been opened, unless the disk is defective.
  • No returns will be allowed on gift card purchases.
  • Exchange given within 30 days for gifts without a receipt.
  • Shipping charges are not refunded on returns. Exchanges are subject to new shipping charges.

Merchandise returns for hardware, software, parts, and peripherals, other than computer systems*, may be considered if:

  • The customer provides the original receipt (or a copy of the original receipt).
  • The return is requested within 14 calendar days of purchase, as indicated on the receipt.
  • Merchandise is returned in the unopened, original packaging (if product packaging includes shrink-wrap, the shrink-wrap must be intact).
  • Opened software and calculators are non-refundable.
  • Shipping charges are not refunded on returns. Exchanges are subject to new shipping charges.

Return Procedures

  • Returns are subject to a restocking fee of the greater of $30 or 10% of the order.
  • This Return Policy applies to both personal and departmental purchases

* Computer systems are subject to the return policies of the individual vendors.
